ENCOUNTER

As Christians—followers of Christ, what are we to do? If we are saved from sin, why? If you are saved from something—then you must be CALLED to something. Many followers of Christ get the "saved from," but not enough are interested in the "call to" something. Therefore, over the next weeks, I want to address “What does it mean to be called?” You must understand that as a follower of Christ, you are called to certain things. This calling is universal to all believers everywhere. We must be deliberate and passionate about fulfilling it. The first and greatest commandment that Jesus gives us is to “love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, strength, and mind.” This commandment is very thorough in what we as followers of Christ are being asked to do. Before we can ever worship God, we must first, completely love Him. You cannot worship that which you do not love.
